Would your management team dare to discuss the weaknesses, strengths and development areas of your strategy in front of the personnel?
On 1 November 2019, Siili Solutions held its traditional Craftcon event at Epicenter in Helsinki. Craftcon is Siili's biggest internal professional skills conference, where colleagues meet, share knowledge and learn together about interesting topics.
One of the items on the Craftcon programme was called Management team and renewed strategy (feat. Topaasia cards), in which part of Siili's management team played a Topaasia session in a unique way: on stage, wearing microphones, live in front of the personnel.

Today at @siilisolutions #craftcon we tried exploring our strategy with the @topaasia_seriousgames game in front of an audience. It works! Antti Kiukas, Chief Marketing Officer, SiiliThe topic of the game session was Siili's strategy. The management team worked on the topic by playing the newest Topaasia® game, Meaning, at a game table dealt by game man Jussi Galla. The game session lasted exactly 30 minutes and led to a shared understanding of the most important topic to develop for executing the strategy.
Following the session was interesting and eye-opening. -A Siili employee in the audience

Topaasia's game man Jussi Galla sums up the experience like this: "In my view this was a bold experiment by the Siili crew, and it was interesting to get to witness it. We deliberately left out the finishing of the crystallisation, in other words the action plan, and focused on the discussions held during the rounds and on choosing the Topaasia. There were exactly 30 minutes for playing, the topic was examined through challenges, opportunities and hopefulness, and in the end the group did indeed reach a shared understanding of the Top matter. To the minute. Afterwards I asked those who had followed the session for their thoughts, and the feedback was very encouraging. It would seem that merely following a dialogue on a topic of shared importance can be meaningful and even entertaining."
