Topaasia is a serious game that helps teams develop their work and coach themselves independently in as little as 30 minutes. It is already used by over 200 Finnish organisations to develop how their teams work. gälliwashere Oy, the company behind the Topaasia games, raised around €170,000 in funding in early autumn, of which three quarters was private money and the rest Tempo funding from Business Finland.

We asked each of our investors: Why did you invest?
I got to know the gälliwashere guys a couple of years ago and was impressed by their drive. Then I got to know the product and was impressed by the way it delivers the same benefits as a human facilitator, entirely through the team's own efforts without a professional. This started a conversation during which the idea of a digital Topaasia developed, one that can upend the way companies do HR: empowering teams, increasing dialogue and building trust.
Topaasia already has a strong track record. Now there is capital to do things bigger. The plans are ambitious, and with this combination of team & investors we will surely reach the finish line!
As an entrepreneur and fellow entrepreneur I am fully aware that very few teams operate at their full potential. Topaasia helps build better-functioning teams. For this reason I want to be involved in supporting Topaasia's growth.
Topaasia takes working life in a direction where I myself want to work. For example teamwork, visualising things, self-direction and autonomy. And the setup was already familiar to me, as I have taken part in playing the games and even working on the product, and I knew the drive and the underlying thinking behind the work.
Investing in the Topaasia games was perhaps the most values-driven investment for Amor & Labor so far. Backgrounds in software development have shown the possibility and importance of continuous improvement. Experiences from nearly the earliest days of Topaasia, in turn, have shown that the games are among the most effective ways to engage even the normally silent contributors and to identify even the smallest risks, problems and opportunities. Every single session of under an hour that I have taken part in has paid for itself many times over.
